A Commitment to Professional Growth and Clinical Training

As a leading children’s mental health center, Washburn Center is committed to training therapists in best practices and evidence-based models such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Monthly in-service trainings cover topics such as child protection issues and intervention strategies.

Our work can be demanding, so we intentionally foster a sense of team and camaraderie. From monthly summer barbeques to employee appreciation gifts to department retreats, Washburn Center values its employees.

A Welcoming, Inclusive Environment

Monthly diversity meetings help build and embrace our employees’ cultural competency. A Spanish speaking providers group meets monthly to discuss challenges and opportunities.

You’ll get a lot of answers when you ask our 130 employees, “What’s the best part of working at Washburn Center?” But the common thread throughout all of our work is a desire to help children with social, emotional and behavioral problems lead successful lives.
