Washburn Center for Children annually accepts three postdoctoral fellows in the Outpatient Therapy Program. This full-time commitment places emphasis on clinical experience (including completing diagnostic assessments, engaging in individual and family therapy and completing psychological evaluations), as well as involvement in the internship training program (supervising of psychology students, facilitating clinical/didactic seminars and helping interview doctoral applicants).
Postdoctoral fellows work at one of Washburn Center’s outpatient sites in Minneapolis, Edina or Brooklyn Park. Fellows will gain clinical experience in serving children, adolescents, families as well as possibly a small number of adult clients. Clients present with a range of mental health challenges, including trauma experience, grief, depression, anxiety, behavior disorders and/or family conflict.
Each year, one postdoctoral fellow will be selected as the Patricia L. Klibanoff Fellow. Learn more about this fellowship, established in 2010.
