Washburn Center for Children currently has an opening for a full time Crisis Stabilization Therapist. The position maintains a caseload of 6-10 children providing culturally based, individualized service to severely emotionally disturbed children and families, in their home, schools and community. Services may include assessment, crisis intervention, case management, therapy, parent education, and skills training. Purpose is to reduce the crisis, improve or maintain children and families emotional or behavioral functioning and to reduce the risk of out-of-home placement, hospitalization, risk of maltreatment, or to assist a child transitioning back to the community following a hospitalization or residential placement.
Must have Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or other human service field and must maintain or be working towards independent licensure. Licensure as LICSW, LP, LPCC or LMFT strongly preferred. Experience with severely emotionally disturbed children and their families strongly preferred. The position requires flexibility, resourcefulness, and demonstrated cultural responsiveness when working with diverse populations, specifically those impacted by systemic inequality. Must have own car in good operating condition, a valid Minnesota driver’s license, and car insurance. Spanish speaking preferred.
