Lepinski Legacy Fund

Continuing Steve's Legacy

Steve Lepinski is a true champion of children who has brought critical awareness to children’s mental health during his 30-year leadership at Washburn Center for Children and his more than 40 years as a leader in the children’s mental health field.

The Lepinski Legacy Fund will continue his long-time commitment to training the next generation of child clinicians.

Steve’s commitment to clinical expertise spans several decades, beginning in the 1990s when he led a campaign to endow clinical leadership at Washburn Center. Aligning with Steve’s vision, the agency made a commitment to create a center of excellence, including enhanced training in evidence based practices. The Developmental Repair Model, a unique treatment program for young children experiencing social and emotional problems, was created under Steve’s leadership and is now having national impact. Most recently, the United Health Foundation Training Institute at Washburn Center for Children formalized the agency’s innovative training model to improve clinical results while increasing access to effective mental health services.

The Lepinski Legacy Fund is an endowed fund to ensure training resources are available for today’s and future generations of children’s mental health professionals.
