Can’t join us or buy supplies? Donate here and we’ll get kids more of their most-needed items!

Annual Winter Gear Drive
Washburn Center hosts a drive to help outfit kids with proper winter coats as we head into the chilly season.
This drive focuses on gathering new items that will keep kids warm from infant through teen years. There is also an opportunity for supporters to donate handmade scarves or mittens for children or gift cards that help a family purchase winter gear.
2025 Drive Information
Support our community’s kids with coats, gloves, hats and socks. Donate your new or gently used and freshly laundered items by shipping them directly to our Glenwood location or drop them off at 1100 Glenwood Ave., Minneapolis, 55405, by Friday, November 7, 2025.
Be sure to mark off your donations in the wish list below so the remaining needs stay updated. Contact Bekah at bekah.kirby@washburn.org with any questions.
Holiday Toy Drive
Washburn Center hosts a toy drive for kids and families served by Washburn Center.
Each year, on the approach to holidays for all traditions, our community gives generously so that our staff can spread the joys of the season to clients, their siblings and caregivers.
This gift drive focuses on gathering new items that will fuel fun and play for kids from infants through teen years. There is also an opportunity for supporters to donate gift cards that help a family choose gifts for kids or to help plan a family feast or celebration.

School Supply Drive
Thank you for teaming up with us to send kids off to school with a new backpack and a bit of hope. This year, 408 backpacks were distributed to our clinical teams to deploy to kids in families across our services.
As an added bonus this season, donors provided some extra materials above and beyond the base supplies. This allowed clinicians to fulfill school-specific supply lists and customize their clients’ bags. Additionally, encouragement notes in English and Spanish were crafted by Medica’s staff as well as our Washburn team.
If you are willing to volunteer next year, please contact our team via email.
