Make an online payment
Beginning in October 2025, Washburn Center for Children is using a new online payment system for client payments and statements.
With this change, we hope you—our clients—experience simpler access and clearer statements. When you login to make a payment, you’ll see a refreshed look to this section of our website. You’ll also receive statements with an improved look, more information and payment options, such as electronic statements* via email or text*.

**If you previously had a recurring payment plan, those plans will end. Our staff will contact you to set up new recurring payments using the new Account Numbers from our current vendor.Â

Please call our office at 612-677-2899 for access to historical data. Note that the previous site only provides historical information; it does not reflect current balances. It also should not be used for making payments as of October 2025.

Make a payment in-person at our Minneapolis location:
Copays or balances can be made at Washburn Center’s Glenwood front desk by cash, check or credit card.
Please note: We do not accept cash, check or credit card payments at the Edina and Brooklyn Park locations.
Set up recurring payments:
If you would like payments to be deducted monthly from your credit/debit card, please do so via our payment link.
Take these steps to set up your recurring payments:
- Click: https://www.securebillpay.net/washburn
- Click: Request a Payment Plan
- Read and agree to the terms and conditions of the Payment Plan Request
- Fill in the remaining fields
(Customer ID = Account ID from new statement- if you do not have this, please call the Billing team at 612-677-2899) - Choose Credit/Debit Card or eCheck
- Fill in the appropriate fields
- Check the box, if you wish to receive an emailed receipt
- Verify by reCAPTCHA
- Click Process

**If you previously had a payment plan set up, verify with the Billing Department that it has ended. Then, you choose whether we set up a new payment plan for you over the phone, or set it up yourself using this link: https://www.securebillpay.net/washburn
Make a payment by mail
- Be sure that the appropriate Client Account number and/or Client name are on your check, otherwise, your payment may not get applied correctly.

We offer an Adjusted Payment Plan for clients/families who are unable to pay their bill in full. Sliding fee amounts are based on income and family size.
- To see if you qualify, please complete the Adjusted Payment (Sliding Fee) Plan application form.
- Return along with copies of your last two pay stubs or your most recent tax return to:

Washburn Center is committed to serving all community members without regard to race, religion, ethnicity, sex, gender or disability, at an affordable fee.
Fees for services vary depending on insurance and Washburn Center program. Clients may be responsible for some or all of these fees depending on the specific insurance policy and program used. Sliding fee applications are accepted and processed for families facing financial hardship, whether related to COVID-19 or not. Payment plans are available for all families regardless of income.

Washburn Center is NOT contracted with Medicare so, by their rules, we cannot accept Medicare clients regardless of the plan type.
SERVICE-SPECIFIC INFORMATION
Our Intensive In-home and Crisis Stabilization Programs are contracted with the following payers – MHCP/PMAP and Commercial Plans – (PLEASE NOTE: some PMAPs do not cover certain programs):

- Blue Cross Blue Shield
- Medica
- Health Partners/Cigna
- UCare
- UHC Commercial only
ICBS (Intensive Community Based Services) is a service offered only for clients who have insurance provided by
- Medica Commercial
- Medica PMAP (MHCP plan)
Case Management services are not billed to the client directly. State and County funding ensure clients are not responsible for fees. This does not apply to diagnostic assessments provided by a case manager.
Outreach services are a free service provided by a Hennepin County contract and is only available to clients living in Hennepin County.
